We know these machines, and the trade that builds them.
EBIDTA Enterprises has spent its working life inside Indian farm machinery — rotavators,
super seeders, pneumatic planters, and the workshops that make them. We put that knowledge to
work for the small and unorganised manufacturers who build most of India's implements and
capture the least of the value.

The machines
From tillage to harvest, with real depth in the categories that move most.
Tillage, seeding, crop care and harvest — including the self-propelled machines at the top of
the range. Rotavators, super seeders, pneumatic planters and root-crop equipment are where we
go deepest: how they are built, what they should cost to build, why they fail, and which
states buy them hardest.

Rotavator / rotary tiller
Blade schedules and steel grades, side- versus centre-drive, multi-speed gearboxes, and what actually breaks in black cotton soil.

Power harrow
Where a vertical-tine seedbed beats a rotary one, and why the gearbox spec decides the service life.

MB plough · disc harrow · cultivator
The base tillage set every small maker competes in, on price, at the thinnest margins in the trade.

Metering units, plate selection, spacing accuracy at field speed, and where imported units still beat what is made locally.
Maharashtra · Gujarat · Telangana

Potato planter
Cup and belt metering, seed-size grading, ridge geometry — root-crop planting at commercial spacing accuracy.

Zero-till & happy seeder
Tyne geometry and seed placement in loose residue — a category that lives or dies on state policy cycles.

What we do
Four practices, in the order a growing manufacturer needs them.
Most firms come to us because they have hit a ceiling they cannot see the shape of. The work
usually starts in one practice and moves through the others as the business opens up.
01
Market access
Approvals · empanelment · institutional supply
Getting your machine into the channels where implements actually sell — state portal empanelment, scheme eligibility, and the documentation that lets you answer a government tender or an OEM's vendor audit instead of walking away from it. FMTTI testing and certification itself is handled by our sister practice, Farm Machine Testing. Farm Machine Testing.
02
Costing & pricing
BOM-up · margin · quoting position
Most small manufacturers price by looking at what the firm down the road charges. We build the cost from the bill of materials up, so you know your real margin per machine and can quote to win work without quietly losing money on it.
03
Dealers & distribution
Territory · appointment · after-sales
Territory logic instead of whoever walked in, a dealer appointment process you can repeat, and a spares and service structure that turns one season of enquiries into repeat orders in states you have never sold in.
04
Recruitment & staffing
Permanent · deputed · retained
Farm mechanization is too small a niche for general recruiters and too specialised for a local advertisement. We place the service, workshop, drawing-office and territory-sales people this trade runs on. See the hiring desk.
Testing & certification
FMTTI testing has its own practice.
India's complete FMTTI resource — all four institutes, every machine category, the full testing and certification process. Run by AgPro Consulting, it covers all four institutes and the
38 other approved bodies, per-machine test procedures, real fee schedules and report
validity. If testing is what you need, start there rather than here.

Our position
Nothing rides on the answer we give you.
We are advisers, and we have deliberately kept the business narrow so that our advice
cannot be bought. It is also the shortest way to explain what we are not.
No manufacturingWe build no machines. We will never be your competitor, and we have no plant to keep loaded.
No dealershipWe hold no distribution rights, and no manufacturer or dealer pays us anything. Our fee comes from you, the client — which is exactly why the advice is worth having.
No R&D or designWe do not produce drawings or develop products. Where a problem is genuinely a design problem, we say so plainly and you fix it — there is no design fee riding on that answer.
No machine salesWe are not a broker. If a machine is wrong for your line, nothing is lost to us by saying so.
Where we work
We work pan-India, from two offices placed where the implements are made.
Our clients are in every state that builds or buys farm implements, and we travel to them.
The offices sit in the clusters because the Indian implement trade is a cluster business —
being in one is the difference between knowing a market and reading about it.
Chandigarh office
Ludhiana · Karnal · Jalandhar
The Punjab–Haryana implement belt. Rotavators, super seeders, happy seeders, straw management — the densest concentration of small implement makers in the country, and the most policy-exposed.
Pune office
Kolhapur · Rajkot
The western trade. Cane and horticulture mechanization, pneumatic planters, and Gujarat's fabrication base — a very different cost structure and a very different dealer culture from the north.
Covered from Pune
Coimbatore
The southern engineering cluster. Power tillers, sprayers and precision equipment, with more organised manufacturing practice than the northern belt and stronger export orientation.
The hiring desk
Staffing solutions for farm mechanization.
The moment a manufacturer starts to professionalise, the owner discovers he is personally
doing every technical job in the firm. There is nobody to hand it to, and general recruiters
do not serve this niche — the roles are too specialised and the firms too small to interest
them. We do, because it is our own trade.

Two partners, both from inside this industry.
Partner
Sunil Malik
Thirty years at business-head level in Indian farm equipment, carrying P&L for product development, strategy, sales and marketing built through channel partners. His career runs through the tractor majors — Mahindra & Mahindra, Case New Holland and TAFE — and, most relevant to the implement trade, through Maschio Gaspardo, the world-renowned agricultural machinery MNC, alongside Sonalika and the Jagatjit group. Latterly Chief Executive Officer at Jai Auto, across domestic and South East Asian markets. An engineering graduate of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
Twenty-five years in farm mechanization, built inside the machinery businesses themselves. Business Head of the Farm Mechanization Business at Greaves Cotton in Pune, and before that Business Head at Shaktiman GRIMME Root Crop Solutions in Rajkot — the Indo-German root crop machinery venture — running two of the implement clusters this practice now serves. Today Director of Agrovent Technologies and Agpro Consulting. A B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from the College of Agricultural Engineering, JNKVV, Jabalpur, so the machines are read as engineering before they are read as product.
EBIDTA Enterprises is an independent farm machinery advisory and staffing practice in India, working with small and unorganised manufacturers of rotavators, super seeders and pneumatic planters on market access, costing and pricing, dealer networks, and recruitment. It builds no machines, holds no dealership and takes no manufacturer commission.
Which farm machines does EBIDTA specialise in?
The full range, from tillage to harvest. EBIDTA goes deepest on rotavators, super seeders, pneumatic planters and root-crop equipment, and also covers power harrows, MB ploughs, sub-soilers, zero-till and happy seeders, paddy transplanters, sprayers, spreaders, mowers and shredders, combine harvesters, sugarcane harvesters, potato planters and harvesters, cotton pickers, balers, threshers and trailers.
Where is EBIDTA Enterprises based?
EBIDTA Enterprises works pan-India, from offices in Chandigarh and Pune. Chandigarh covers the Punjab–Haryana implement belt around Ludhiana, Karnal and Jalandhar; Pune covers Kolhapur, Rajkot and Coimbatore. Clients outside those clusters are served from whichever office is nearer.
Does EBIDTA sell farm machinery?
No. EBIDTA manufactures nothing, holds no distribution rights, takes no commission from any manufacturer or dealer, and does no R&D or product design. It is an advisory and staffing practice only, so nothing rides on the advice it gives.
